Carol F. Thomas is the new chairwoman of the board of directors of the National Education Knowledge Industry Association.
Ms. Thomas, 59, is the chief executive officer of the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory, which is part of a network of 10 educational laboratories funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Her one-year term as chairwoman of NEKIA’s board began Dec. 1.
NEKIA is a Washington-based trade association that represents education service providers, entrepreneurs, and researchers doing business in the K-12 market.
