2022 National Teacher of the Year: ‘So Honored to Be a Part of This Profession’

In his 25th year in the classroom, high school history teacher Kurt Russell has been named the 2022 National Teacher of the Year. The educator, who teaches at the same school he attended, knew he wanted to be a teacher since he was in kindergarten. Here, he shares his outlook on the profession and a message for educators.
