Christopher B. Swanson is the vice president of Editorial Projects in Education, the nonprofit corporation that publishes Education Week. As a member of the organization’s senior leadership team, his responsibilities include project and product development, strategic planning, fundraising activities, and building relationships with foundations and other organizations working to advance American education. In addition to leading Education Week’s development, fundraising, and communications operations, he oversees the organization’s audience engagement, analytics, and social media teams, the in-house library, and Education Week Press. He previously was a senior research associate at the Urban Institute. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Chicago.
