Elizabeth Rich is the assistant managing editor, opinion for Education Week and edweek.org, overseeing all opinion content, both online and in print. She is the founding executive project editor of the annual Big Ideas special report. Elizabeth joined Education Week Teacher in 2007 as an assistant editor and writer. Previously, she was an award-winning documentary filmmaker, public radio producer, and educator in public schools in the District of Columbia and a Tribal Even Start program in Oklahoma. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Barnard College and a master’s degree in cultural reporting and criticism from New York University.
