Charles Barone has been hired by the Citizens’ Commission on Civil Rights as its project director for the No Child Left Behind Act and education reform.
Mr. Barone, 43, previously was the Democratic deputy staff director for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Education and the Workforce Committee. He was a negotiator for House Democrats when Congress was crafting the No Child Left Behind law.
The Citizens’ Commission on Civil Rights is a Washington-based watchdog group that monitors the civil rights policies and practices of the federal government.
