A story in the Nov. 10, 2010, issue of Education Week about changes to teachers’ base pay misstated the number of short observations a teacher in Harrison School District Two in Colorado can receive each year. It is 16.

The Commentary, “Don’t Cut Out the Center,” in the same issue, included an incorrect Web address for the report “Central Office Transformation for Teaching and Learning Improvement.” It is available at www.ctpweb.org and www.wallacefoundation.org.

A story on virtual “teachable agents” in the Nov. 3, 2010, issue incorrectly identified the director of Stanford University’s AAA Lab in Palo Alto, Calif. His name is Daniel Schwartz.

A version of this article appeared in the November 17, 2010 edition of Education Week as Corrections
