Math and Reading Enrichment
The New York Life Foundation, a New York City-based philanthropy that supports education and mentoring programs for children, has awarded a $776,400 grant to the Developmental Studies Center, an Oakland, Calif.-based nonprofit that provides after school programs for low-income and minority students. The grant will be used to provide at least 25,000 K-8 students in the New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles areas with reading and math enrichment programs.
