Randolph E. Ward

Randolph E. Ward has been named the superintendent of California’s 500,000-student San Diego County schools, a system made up of 42 smaller districts. Mr. Ward, 49, has served as the state-appointed administrator for the 48,000-student Oakland Unified School District since June 2003.
