State Consortia

The following state consortia have applied for grant money from the federal government to help devise new tests of English-language proficiency:

English Proficiency for All Students Consortium: Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania (lead state), Tennessee, AccountabilityWorks, and the Educational Testing Service.

Limited-English-Proficient SCASS: Alabama, California, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada (lead state), New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virgina, the Council of Chief State School Officers, and the American Institutes for Research.

Mountain West Assessment Collaborative: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah (lead state), Wyoming, and Measured Progress.
