A teachers’ union has launched a campaign against efforts to raise academic performance in Connecticut’s state-run technical high schools. In a Dec. 17 letter to the state schools chief, the State Vocational Federation of Teachers said it would inform parents of the “negative impact” that the changes are having (“Conn. Polishes Image of ‘Technical’ Schools,” Sept. 22, 2004.)
