National experts will discuss evidence-based practices that reduce bias and promote positive student identities and a strong sense of belonging for all students. They’ll share cautionary notes that emerge from evidence, as well as implications for policymakers and practitioners working to implement these practices.

You’ll explore research synthesis from the new Aspen Institute brief United We Learn and have an opportunity to ask questions.

As policymakers make consequential decisions about race and racism in public education, it is important to consider the evidence from research and experience, and apply that knowledge to improve treatments of race and racism in schools.

We know a lot about teaching race & racism in education. Let’s put that knowledge to use.

Speakers
Ross Wiener
Executive Director, Aspen Institute Education & Society Program
