“Border": Del., Ky., Md., Mo., Okla., and W.Va.
Northeast: Conn., Maine, Mass., N.H., N.J., N.Y., Pa., R.I., and Vt.
Midwest: Ill., Ind., Iowa, Kan., Mich., Minn., Neb., N.D., Ohio, S.D., and Wis.
West: Ariz., Calif., Colo., Mont., Nev., N.M., Ore., Utah, Wash., and Wyo.
Note: Alaska and Hawaii are excluded from most parts of this study because of their unique ethnic compositions and isolation from the regions studied here.
