“Charter School Laws Across the States”
The Center for Education Reform, which promotes school choice, awarded seven states and the District of Columbia a grade of A and two states an F in a new report that describes and ranks the nation’s 41 charter school laws.
In the report, published last week, the Washington-based research and advocacy group awarded A’s to Arizona, California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota for the freedom and equity of funding they give charter schools, among other factors. Iowa and Mississippi received grades of F.
The report, now in its 10th year, is available for sale on the group’s Web site.
