Full Text of the Texas Law Restricting Classroom Talk on Racism (HB 3979)

Below is the full text of House Bill 3979, the Texas law passed in May 2021 that restricts how teachers discuss controversial issues, bans them from saying that slavery constitutes the true founding of the United States, and prohibits schools from awarding credit for students engaging in any kind of political advocacy.
