The Pew Charitable Trusts has awarded the National School Boards Association’s Center for Public Education a two-year, $447,00 grant to engage school boards in supporting high-quality, voluntary pre-K education.
With the funding, the Center for Public Education added the Alabama Association of School Boards and the Kentucky School Boards Association to its pre-K network, which includes state school board associations from Kansas, Ohio, and Texas.
The partnership hopes to increase the role of school boards in promoting pre-K education, and disseminate information about this issue through NSBA’s networks and conferences.
