To some, the word ‘lemonade’ calls up nostalgic visions of kids handing out paper cups on a hot summer day for pocket change. For others, it means the 2016 Beyoncé album.
But for children in Indianapolis, lemonade stands mean creating business plans, applying for startup loans, scoping out locations, and earning money. In this PBS Newshour video, Education Week’s Kavitha Cardoza speaks to the next generation of entrepreneurs, who are developing their business skills one glass of lemonade at a time.
