If you’re looking for the principal of Central Elementary School in Cabot, Ark., don’t check her office.
That’s because Bethany Hill shuns a formal office in favor of spending her time roving classrooms, hallways, the playground, and the cafeteria, where she can be as close as possible to her teachers and students.
In this video, Education Week spoke with Hill about the benefits of her unconventional approach to school leadership, which she says allows her to be more flexible and more supportive of teachers than she would otherwise.
