Gay B. Molnar is the new president-elect designate of the National Rural Education Association.
Ms. Molnar, 56, who is the director of development for the Aquarium of Niagara in Niagara Falls, N.Y., has served on town and county boards of education, as well as the New York State Rural Schools Board, a subsidiary of the New York State School Boards Association.
After serving as president-elect designate for a year, she will become the president-elect. Then, in November 2006, she will take over as president of the organization.
The Norman, Okla.-based rural education association provides professional development, journals, and conferences for its 1,300 members.
