  • CATCH—or Classroom Assessment as a Basis for Teacher Change—is a project of the National Center for Improving Student Learning and Achievement in Mathematics and Science at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a subcontract to the Freudenthal Institute at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. It is based on the belief that changing teachers’ assessment practices is vital to changing teaching and learning.
