Science teacher Milton Johnson received a $10,000 grant from “Jenny’s Heroes,” a foundation created by former talk show host Jenny Jones.
The grant money will go toward purchasing telescopes and other astronomy equipment for Mr. Johnson’s students at South Mountain High School in Pheonix and creating an astronomy club at the high school.
Mr. Johnson applied for the grant through Jenny’s Heroes.
