The high school dropout rate among Hispanic students is at an all-time low, says a new study by the Pew Research Center.
In 1996, 34 percent of Hispanic students had left high school before earning their diplomas, but by 2016, that number had fallen to 10 percent, an all-time low, Pew reports.
The analysis, based on new data from the U.S. Census Bureau, also found Hispanic college enrollment rising. In 2016, 47 percent of Hispanic students ages 18 to 24 were enrolled in college, up from 35 percent a decade earlier.
