In a little more than a decade, virtual schooling has spread to most Southern states, with the rest of those in the region planning to offer online programs in the near future, according to a report from the Atlanta-based Southern Regional Education Board.
Enrollments in state virtual schools, which provide Web-based courses for middle and high school students, likewise have continued to increase, the report says.
The report includes detailed summaries of the programs in each state.
